Loretta A. Kozloski, of Taylor, died Sunday at Moses Taylor Hospital. Her husband, Frank Kozloski, died Sept. 15, 2005. Born in Old Forge, daughter of the late John and Anna Ozga Stampien, she was educated in St. Michael's Parochial School and graduated from Old Forge High School. She was a lifelong member of St. Michael's Church and a former member of the church choir. Loretta lived in Taylor all of her married life. She and her late husband were the proprietors of Vic's Café, Union Street, Taylor, for more than 65 years. During this time, many friends enjoyed gathering at the cafe to enjoy themselves. Loretta was known as a very fastidious person by all who really knew her. She was also known for her passion for enjoying all varieties of sweets. Surviving are a brother, Dr. Ted and wife, Irene, Clarks Summit; a sister, Florence Kielich and husband, Albert, Taylor; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews. She was also preceded in death by a son, Robert "Bobby," on Jan. 7, 1994; a sister, Jule Niemiec; four brothers, Frank, Joseph, Michael and Dr. Stanley F. Stampien; a nephew, Richard Niemiec; and a niece, Elaine Stampien. The funeral will be Thursday at 930 a.m. from the Semian Funeral Home, 704 Union St., Taylor, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 in St. Michael's Church, Old Forge, to be celebrated by the Rev. Joseph Brozena. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, Old Forge. Friends may call Thursday, 830 to 930 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Michael's Church, 236 Vine Street, Old Forge, 18518, or the donor's favorite charity.
