"Yesterday morning at 5 o'clock a.m., Mrs. Julia S. Morgan, relict of the late Commodore Charles W. Morgan, U.S. Navy. Her funeral will take place at 4 o'clock this afternoon from her late residence on the corner of 2d and Frederick streets, Georgetown. Her friends and acquaintances are invited to attend without further notice."

After Julia's death, her mother, Anna, assumed the guardianship of the children.

Charles and Julia were the parents of:

1) Charles W. Morgan, Jr.

2) John C. Morgan (1847 - 1874).
