Per Missouri Death Cert. #1963 and 36219 as there are two of them posted:
Mariah is the daughter of Joseph Strange and a Smith. She was born in Christian Co. Mo. and died at Ocie, Ozark Co. Mo. Informant was her son B. H.(Bennie) Tannehill.

Transcribed from the Ozark Co. Times dated 1914-10-30

Mrs. M. E. Tannehill passed from this life Oct. 17, 1914, after a long illness. She was 66 years, 7 months and 28 days old.

She was first married to David R. Turner. To this union a son and a daughter were born. The son died in infancy and the daughter, Mrs. Tommy Duggins, died about 4 years ago. After Mr. Turner's death she married A. J. Tannehill in 1875 or 76. To this union were born three children, Bennie and Jesse Tannehill of near Ocie, and Mrs. Mattie Herd, decreased.

She separated from Mr. Tannehill in 1890 and had since lived with her sons. She was a member of the General Baptist church. Many times during her illness she talked of being ready to meet death and asked her loved ones to meet her in Heaven.

She was laid to rest in the Lutie cemetery. Rev. W.W. Magee conducted the funeral services, followed by Rev. Thornton.

Poem attached to Obit:
A precious one from us is gone
Her smiling face we see no more
But at the bright and glorious dawn
We'll meet on heaven's shore,
Beyond the reach of wistful eyes
Beyond this vale of bitter tears
Where gladness reigns and love
ne'er dies.
She'll dwell thro' fair eternal years
How sad the thought, she is gone,
Although we know she 's free
from care
Oh how it fills our hearts with pain
To part with one to us so dear.
But when we reach that happy
Sad parting words we'll never hear
Oh how we miss her smiling face
And long to hear the voice so still
Oh! there is her chair, a vacant
That never can be filled
