Pauline Shillingburg
Pauline Mae Shillingburg, 83, of Brookhaven, Morgantown, died Friday, Sept. 24, 2004 at her home.
She was born May 31, 1921 in Glady, the daughter of the late Abraham Tallman and Grace L. Barkley White.
She enjoyed being a homemaker, raising her six children and grandchildren, cooking flowers and camping in Bemis with her family.
She is survived by two sons, Gary D and wife, Wendy, of Buford, S.C., and Ernest L. and wife, Judy, of Destin, Fla.; three daughters, Betty L. Hanlin of Cassville, Kathy K. Jencks and husband, LeRoy, of Morgantown and Tammy L. McCleary and husband, Robert, of Salisbury, Pa.; and one son-in-law, Robert F. Penzes of Granvill.
Mrs. Shillingburg is also survived by 15 grandchildren, Theresa Obrad, Suzanne Penzes, Gary Shillingburg, Michael Baker, Natasha Woodard, Jennifer Shillingburg, Scott Hanlin, Daniel Hanlin, Michell R. Hall, Paul Jencks, Stephanie Reeves, Taylor Reeves, Hayden Reeves, Heather McCleary and Haile McCleary; and eight great grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Leafy Bohon and Pearl Cirkendall; one brother, Ronald White and wife, Margaret; four sisters-in-law, Katherine Dumire, Virginia Lillar, Hallie Shillingburg and Helen Menefee; as well as special friend, nurse Rhonda Wagner.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Earnest D. Shillingburg, who passed away on July 3, 2001; one daughter, Ellen Grace Penzes; three brothers, Claud White, Woodrow White and William White.
Friends may call at McCulla Funeral Home on Sunday from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. or 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. and on Monday from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral service with Tom Sollars officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Cemetery.
