Alexander J.SWANGER-CIVIL WAR-died 5 September 1897. ALEXANDER J. SWANGER, served in the Union Army, with the 120th Ohio Volunteer Infantry. He was born 28 March 1847 in Cass Township, Richland County, Ohio, son of Peter and Martha (Johnson) Swanger. He died 5 September 1897 at Shiloh, Ohio and was interred in Mt.
