Daugherty, Leona – age 83, of Knoxville, passed away, Thursday, June 30, 2011, at U.T. Medical Center. She was a member of Valley View Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Jonah Daugherty ; parents, George and Julie Loveday; brothers, Bill, Carmen, and Carl Loveday. She is survived by sister; Beulah Huskey; nieces and nephews; Ron Loveday, Jean Carver, Pat Arwood, Margie Salisbury, James Huskey, Brenda Cole, Charlotte Hoyles, and Mike Huskey; eleven great- nieces and nephews; special friends, Margie Cooper and daughter Betty, Betty Stearns, and Owen. A funeral service will be conducted at 7:00 pm Friday, July 1, 2011, at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with Brother Steven Grindstaff officiating. Family and friends will meet at 9:45 am Saturday at Sherwood Memorial Gardens for a 10:00 am interment service. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 pm Friday at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel.
