My grandfather had a real rough childhood. In 1896 he was placed in a orphanage, his mom could not care for 9 children on her own. So she placed 7 of her children away. My grandfathers dad, was wanted by the cops for crimes he had done. I found a newspaper clipping that had talked about my grandfather. In 1890 my grandfather ran away from the orphanage, and made his way back home to Hebron, Conn.

My grandfather was found by the cops in town. The cops brought my grandfather in front of the judge, and placed my grandfather farther away from his family, in an attempt to keep him from running away.

My grandfather was never adopted out of the orphanage, he stayed there until he turned 18 years old.
