Mrs. Frances F. Whipkey, aged 73 years, of Bristoria, died at 3 PM Friday, November 25, 1960 in the Latrobe Hospital, where she was being treated for a hip fracture suffered in a fall two weeks ago.
She was born October 11, 1887, in Jackson Township, a daughter of Rufus and Mary Jane Wright Kerr.
September 15, 1906, she married Samuel Whipkey, who survives.
Mrs. Whipkey resided most of her life in Richhill Township. She was a member of the Long Run church of God and the Long Run Missionary Society.
Surviving, besides her husband, are five sons, Paul of Wind Ridge, RD1; Fred of Holbrook, RD1; Warren of Graysvile, RD1; John in New Jersey, and Stoy, of Beallsville; two daughters, Lena, wife of Fred Hennen, of New Freeport, and Freda, wife of Ronald Brant, of New Staton RD 1; 17 grandchildren; 10 great grand children; two sisters Urbana, wife of Oscar Headley of Graysville, RD 1; and Zella wife of George Staggers of Holbrook, RD1; and three brothers John Kerr, of Holbrook RD1; George Kerr, of Waynesburg, RD5, and Lawrence Kerr of Carmichaels.
Two daughters, Louise and Dorothy, one sister, Emma Kerr, and two brothers, Earl and Randolph Kerr are deceased.
