THE DEATH OF JOHN MCCOY
John McCoy, for many years a prominent farmer of Tippecanoe count, died at 1 o’clock Tuesday morning at his home at Crane Station. Death was caused by heart trouble. The son of Joseph and Nancy McCoy he was born August 27, 1847, in Ross County, Ohio. He was united in marriage in this county on September 29 1877, to Miss Keltie Richey, who died in 1917. He had resided west of Crane Station since 1870. He was a member of spring Grove UB Church and an elder in that church for 40 years. Surviving are two sons, Rainey McCoy, of Lafayette Route F, Joseph McCoy, of Pelham, New York, and a daughter, Mrs Nettie Moore, of Route F. He is also survived by four sisters. Mrs Emma Richey, Lafayette; Mrs Maria Ray, Route f; Miss Kittie McCoy and Mrs Stanton Morrow, Chillicothe, Ohio, and a brother, James McCoy of Stockwell. Funeral services will be conducted from the house at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev O f Ball will officiate and burial will be in Spring Grove cemetery.
