Matthew Alexander, an old resident of Marion township, who moved to a farm near Bluffton last fall, died Wednesday morning, at the age of 60 years, of general debility. He was a veteran of the late war and served 3 years and 3 months, being one of the first to enlist from Allen county. He leaves a wife and five small children. The widow is a daughter of Mahala Sherrick, of Marion township. The funeral was held this afternoon from Marion Baptist church, and interment occurred in Walnut Grove cemetery, east of here.
