"Lydia Anna Wilkins was born & August 1760 in Lyndeborough, Hillborough County, Maine, which later became know as New Hampshire. She was the daughter of Archelaus Wilkins (1721-1790) and his wife, Rachel, born 1735. Records show she was 25 when she married there on 23 March, 1786, to Josiah Kinney. They continued living at the same homestead until sometime after 1790, probably shortly after the death of her father, when they moved with their children westward to Windsor County, Vermont. They remained there through in 1800, then living in Reading Village, and 1810, living near Ludlow. For some reason, the family decided to move again westward and by 1820 ended up in Jay, Essex County New York. During those 30 years they had ten living children, at least six of whom lived to adulthood: Abigail 1790; Lindy Melinda 1791-1881; Ebenezer 1792-1877; Asa F 1796-1866; Alpheus 1796-1827; Josiah Jr 1799-1827; Aaron 1800-1875; Lydia 1802; Anna 1804; and Amos 1810.
