John Clinton Shaver, 59, died at his home at 4 p. m. Thursday after suffering a heart attack. Mr. Shaver was born September 18, 1878, at Belfort, son of the late James Shaver and Mary West Shaver, of Lyons Falls. Mr. Shaver married Isabelle Campany of Croghan, on October 26, 1909. He has been employed as truckman by the W. P. A. He was a member of St. John's church here, where he had resided for eight years. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Mary Shaver, wife, Isabelle Shaver; three sons, Gordon, Raymond and Kenneth, of Lyons Falls; four daughters, Mrs. Clarence Hastwell, of McKeever; Helen, Doris and Edith Shaver; one grandson, Ervin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Shaver.
Funeral services were held from the house at 9 and from the church at 9:30 on Monday. The body was placed In the vault at Wild Wood cemetery until spring, when interment will be
made in the Croghan cemetery. The bearers were Charles Markham, Michael Mullen, Cecil Gaylord, Jacob Effley William McDonald and Charles O'Brien. Lowville Republican and Journal, Thursday, February 10, 1938
