Mrs. Johnson was the daughter of Rev. and Mrs. Samuel Wilson and the widow of the late Levi Johnson. She was born in Franklin County, Ohio, June 6, 1847, but came to Wood County with her parents in 1851 to reside near Haskins. Her father was one of the early circuit riders who carried the gospel to pioneers, their jouneys being made on horseback over heavy roads or trails.
Her marriage to Levi Johnson was solemnized in 1862. Five children were born, all of whom preceded her to the grave. After the death of Mr. Johnson, she made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Dora - - - at Bowling Green, til the ladies death in 1930, when Mrs. Johnson went to Gary to live with her grandsons Chester, Earl and Lester H- - -n.
Surviving her are ten grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and eight great great grandchildren, living in Ohio and Michigan, and many other relatives. Her brother Joe Wilson lives in Perrysburg and a sister-in-law Mrs. Helena Wilson, resides in Toledo."
Lucy had six children: Dola, Dora, Perry, Ida, Franklin, and Nettie. She was the daughter of Samuel and Orpha Wilson and had siblings Sheldon, Joseph, Robert, and John. She was born in Washington Township and died in Center.
