A native of Paducah, Ky., Juanita came to Oak Ridge in 1948 to work in the City Directory department. It was there that she met her future husband, Carlock Stooksbury, who worked in security at the Elza Gate entrance.
Years later, she and her husband purchased the Little Senator and operated this popular drive-in restaurant for some 35 years. Later, she volunteered to handle tour groups at the Museum of Appalachia.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters: Beverly Stooksbury Leitner (Roger); Joan Stooksbury Brown (Geron); and Lisa Stooksbury Tavangaran (Mansour); and one brother, Milton Jones (Inez).
Juanita had nine grandchildren: Laura Leitner Shields (Craig); R. Steven Leitner Jr.; Amy Bright Talley (Adam) Talley; Alyssa, Adam, Nick, and Alex Tavangaran; Geron Brown III (Cynthia); and Christy Brown Morris (Rick).
She had 11 great-grandchildren: Anna Kate and Sophia Shields; Evan, Eva, and Weston Talley; Renee Jayne Morris; Dianna and Jonathan Brown; Chris, Sam and Nathaniel Magone.
