Lloyd Dean Wick, 82 of Port Orchard, died in Silverdale April 23, 2011. He was born November 30, 1928 in Afton, IA to Leroy & Clara Wick. He married Shirley Ann Slocum January 1, 1953. She preceded him in death in 2003. Lloyd worked for 40 years as a Machinist at Aerojet in CA, Mare Island Naval Shipyard in CA & Solar Airplanes in IA, retiring from PNS in 1989. Lloyd enjoyed dancing at the Elk’s Lodge, playing pool, coin collecting, gardening, bible studies, and RVing in the 90’s. He was a member & Deacon of Harper Evangelical Free Church in Southworth, Elks Lodge in Bremerton, Campers for Christ, Group Health concession stand volunteer in Port Orchard, and member of Bremerton Business & Professional Singles. Surviving are daughters Julie Petersen of Redding, CA, Debbie Torrance of Silverdale, David Wick of Hillsboro, OR; sister Shirley Conner of Grinell, IA; 7 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by parents, sisters Lucille Olson, Bernice Harding, Dorothy Jones & brother Garold Wick. Visitation Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 2:00pm followed by a Celebration of Life Service at Rill’s Life Tribute Center in Port Orchard at 3:30pm. Burial at Sunset Lane Memorial Park also in Port Orchard.
