He had at least two sons, John T. and William Pride.
Thomas wrote his Will on 14 Aug 1838 and it was recorded on 23 June 1842.
In 1820 Thomas owned 395 acres of land in Amelia County, VA.
In his Will he left a servant an annual amount, and made gifts to Randolph Macon College, the Amelia Methodist Episcopal Church and the Amelia Methodist Missionary Fund.
He left fine revisions for his two sons. If his sons died without children, the land should be used to build three schools, one on his land West of Flat Creek, one on his land between Flat Creek and Deep Creek and one on his land below Deep Creek.
His son, John T. Pride lived to inherit the land intended for him.
