"Doris Marie Purkey Bailey, 57, died Tuesday, Sept. 20, at her home in South Carolina.
A native of Bean Station, she was preceded in death by her parents, Matthew H. and Eva G. Carpenter Purkey, and brothers, Junior and Dean Purkey.
She was a homemaker, a former employee of Wal-Mart and attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Roy Bailey; sons and daughter-in-law, Jay B. Bailey of South Carolina and Howard James and Debbie Bailey, Florida; daughter and son-in-law, Twinkle E. and Spencer Frederickson of California; sisters, Ruth Moyers and Barbara J. Hilton of Bean Station, and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday at 1 p.m. at Stubblefield Funeral Home in Morristown. Burial was in Meadow Branch Cemetery."
