Mrs. Driver was the mother of famed comedienne Phyllis Diller.
Her parents were John McClintock (1851-1916) and Frances (McLees) Sellers (1847-1928). On October 28, 1908 she married Perry Marcus Driver. Their daughter, Phyllis, was born July 17, 1917. Perry Driver died at the age of 84 on August 12, 1948. Less than six months after her husband's death, Frances Driver died at the age of 68 at the home of her daughter, Phyllis, in Alameda, California.
According to records from TR Childs & Son Funeral Home, the body of Mrs. Driver was cremated on February 22, 1949. Cemetery records indicate that her ashes were returned to Ohio and interred in the family plot of Saint Matthew Cemetery, sharing the same plot as her husband.
