Considered one the pioneers of the early chamamé, his long list of composed songs included "Guarani" and "Look", "A Guaraní a Virgin", "Panambí", "Esquer Zelaya Guaynita of the Soul ", "Crying Heart ", " My First Love", "My heart", "My hope is lost", "On the Paraná River", "Prisoner", "May God You", "Recuerdos Corrientes", "Red Earth" and "My Paraguay" to name a few. His extensive and magnificent oeuvre makes it undoubtedly one of the greatest poets of our music. He died in Villa Urquiza, Buenos Aires. (bio by: John "J-Cat" Griffith)
