The Oldham Era, LaGrange, Kentucky, Friday, 24 Apr 1931: MRS. MARGARET RILEY DIES AT HOME HERE - Mrs. Margaret Jett Riley, aged 88 years, died Monday morning at 10:30 at the home of her son, Mr. John Riley near LaGrange, where she had spent most of the time recently. She was ill only a short time and the trouble seemed to be the general debility which comes with advanced years. Mrs. Riley was a native of Grayson County. Her husband, Mr. James Riley, has been dead for a number of years. She was the oldest member in point of membership of the Baptist Church of LaGrange. She is survived by three sons, Sam Riley and John Riley of LaGrange, and Charles Riley of Ludlow, Ky.; seven grandchildren and a number of great grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 at the Baptist Church with the Rev. T. E. Ennis in charge, with intetment following in the Valley of Rest. The pallbearers were William Riley, James Fitzgerald, J. C. Riley, Roy Garr, James and Jesse Wells.
