Doyle Rudolph "Doc" Dillinger, 73, of 514 N Ozark Avenue, Trumann, died Thursday morning at the St. Bernard's Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Viola, he had lived in Trumann since 1960. Dillinger was a retired farmer, a former employee for the city of Trumann, a World War II Army veteran and of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Vernese Griggs Dillinger, of the home; one daughter, Carol Busby of Trumann; two sons, Doran Dillinger and Ricky Dillinger both of Trumann; two sisters, Barbara Wess of Williford and Sharon Smith of Ravenden; two brothers, Monroe Dillinger of Harrisburg and Clayton Dillinger of Cave City; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday morning at 10 in the chapel of the Thompson Funeral Home in Trumann with the Dr. Jerry Wilcox officiating. Graveside services will be that afternoon at 2:30 at the Pickern Hall/Enterprise Cemetery in Viola, with the Rev. Michael Dillinger officiating.

Pallbearers will be John Dillinger, Bo Hickey, Kenny Stacks, Sherry Miller, Roy Warden, Rickey Doyle Dillinger and Patton Dillinger.

Visitation will be from 5 this afternoon until 8 this evening at the funeral home.
