Virginia was the daughter of Norman Judson Copping and his wife Virginia K Norton Copping Kemp. She married first John Thomas "Tom" Wilson on the 11th of June 1938. Tom served in Canada's 48th Highlanders in World War II and sadly he never recovered his full health and died in 1954. Virginia married 2nd William Robert "Bobby" Johnston.
