| Birth: | 1935 | | Death: | 1993 |  Canadian reporter, author, and editor. He was a part-owner of CB Media Ltd, which published 'Profit' and 'Canadian Business' magazines. Ross began his career as a reporter for the Vancouver Sun, Financial Post, and the Toronto Star, later winning a National Newspaper Award in 1964. Later moving to magazines he worked for 'Saturday Night' and became managing editor of 'Macleans' and founding editor of 'Toronto Life.' He helped to chronicle what was wrong and right with the Canadian media as a co-writer, with Borden Spears, of the 1970 report of the Senate committee on mass media. In 1977 along with two partners, he purchased the 'Canadian Business' from the Canadian Chamber of Commerce. He wrote the books "The Risk Takers" (1975), "The Rainmaker" (1977), his autobiography, and "The Traders: Inside Canada's Stock Markets" (1985). (bio by: K)
