She is survived by her husband,James Henry Collins; sister,Bertha May Trent,brothers; William Hamp and Samuel Wilson,and many nieces and nephews and in-laws.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents,William Alfred Wilson and Doney Ethel Willis/Wilson and siblings;Ruben Paul,John Wesley,Ronnie Charles,Leroy,Lewis John,Ralph Logan,Robert Ray,Ruby Pauline,Barbara Ann,Jeanette,and Geneva Grace Anderson,Bowman. Two days later her brother Samuel passed away. She is survived by her sister; Bertha May Shugars/Trent and brother; William Hamp and many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Elizabeth was named after her grandmother,Ruhamma Elizabeth Neeley Wilson...her father's Mother.
She never had children of her own but she treated others with the love she had to share. In her later years,she was an assistant on a school bus for disabled children. They became so close and she called them,"My little children".
Elizabeth "Lizzy" or "Liz" was from the Ellicott City area. She was a long time and devoted member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church. Liz always had a smile on her face. She was a friend to everyone. She loved animals and left behind 3 dogs and a cat. She and Jim worked together in many years of planting vegetable gardens like her mom. They canned and froze all their harvests. Of course they ate them fresh and shared with many. Jim and Liz went everywhere and did everything together. They were the closest couple.Jim and family and her many friends miss her dearly.
Services were held at Slacks Funeral Home and Sharon Missionary Baptist Church. Interment is Sharon Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery.
