She attended St. Lawrence and St. Ann's School of Business in Buffalo, NY. On September 9, 1946, Cecilia entered the Sisters of St. Francis at Stella Niagara, NY. She took her profession of' vows on August 18,1949. Sister Clara received a B.S. Ed. from Rosary Hill College and a M.S.T. from Fordham University. Sister Clara taught at St. Benedict, Stella Niagara and the Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart in Buffalo, She also spent many years teaching at Our Lady of Perpetual Help and Mater Del High School in New Jersey. After her retirement she continued to tutor math students at Sacred Heart Academy.
In 1965, Sister Clara fulfilled a dream of her life to work with the people of Africa. She traveled to Bukoba, Tanzania where she taught from 1965 until 1971. She worked and made it possible for girls to also attend school in Bukoba. In 2007, Sister Clara became a member of the Stella Niagara Health Center where she enjoyed the interaction with the sisters and staff.
She is survived by her sister, Marie; and many nieces and nephews. Sister Clara was the sister of the late Charles and Ellen.
