Fireman August Zakrzewski was one of 20 men who died from the USS Young when several naval vessels went aground in fog on the California coast.

MILITARY FUNERAL FOR SHIPWRECK VICTIM
Military funeral services will be conducted for August Zakraszewski, 21, 4020 South Thirty-fourth street, Sunday at 3 p.m.
He was a fireman on the destroyer Young and was killed when the destroyer was wrecked off the California coast, September 9.
The funeral will be under the auspices of the South Omaha post of the American Legion and will be conducted by Father John Weiczorek, from the home to St. Stanislaus church. Burial will be in St. Mary Magdalene's cemetery.
