He married Etta A McClellan on Dec 30,1882 at Colrain,MA. Etta and all three children moved to Junction, Greene Co, Iowa, and appear in the 1910, 1920, and 1930 censuses there.

DEATH OF WILLIAM COOMBS OF COLRAIN
William Coombs, 48, a prominent farmer, stock raiser, and horse breeder, died yesterday at Elm Grove, in Colrain. Mr Coombs had been ill for some time, and his death was not unexpected. He was a brother of Calven Coombs, a prominent farmer in Colrain, and is also survived by a widow and three children. The funeral will take place from the Coombs residence to-morrow afternoon. Rev. C. M. Crooks will officiate at the service.
