Charlie "Pete" Styles, age 84, of Newport, passed away Friday, July 1, 2011 at his home. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Susie Styles; brother, Jim Styles; sisters, Mae Cogburn, Sarah Shelton and Bertha Coggins; and grandson Daniel Styles. He is survived by his wife, Margaret Styles of Newport, sons and daughters-in-law, Terry and Janie Styles, Rick and Rose Styles, Danny and Diane Styles, Pete and Gail Styles all of Newport, Joe Styles of Greeneville and Scott and Rhonda Styles of Newport; daughters and sons-in-law, Gayla and Lee Wilson of Knoxville, Cheryl and Bill Phillips , Janice and Donnie Keller, Tammy and Steve Sprouse and Lori and Ronnie Sutton all of Newport; brothers Lawrence Styles of Parrottsville and Beecher Styles of Newport, sisters, Grace Gentry of Clarksville, TN and Reba Faye Wilson of Knoxville; thirty three grandchildren, and twenty six great grandchildren; and many other family and friends. Funeral service will be held 8:00 pm Sunday July 3, 2011 in Manes Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Eddie Young officiating. Burial will be held 11:00 am Monday, July 4, 2011 in Styles Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Sunday at Manes Funeral Home prior to the funeral service.
