ELIZABETH GI'S BODY TO ARRIVE
Rites for Pfc. H. E. Young Will Be Sunday

Elizabeth, Ill. - Services are scheduled for Sunday afternoon for Pfc. Harold E. Young, whose body is expected to arrive Friday night Pfc. Young was killed in action April 16, 1945, on Luzon in the Philippines while fighting with the 33rd infantry division of the U.S. army. The remains will be taken to the Banwarth funeral home at Elizabeth, where a short service will be conducted at 2 p.m. The Rev. E. A. Wiedbush pastor, will officiate at the last rites at St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran church at 2:30 p.m. and burial will be in the Elizabeth cemetery. Military honors will be accorded by the Veterans of Foreign Wars, of Hanover. A guard of honor will be on duty at the Banwarth chapel from 2 p.m. until 10 p.m. Saturday, when friends may call. Harold Emil Young, son of Emil and Emma (Boldt) Young, was born April 2, 1924, in Woodbine township east of Elizabeth. He attended Elizabeth High school and was employed at the Hanover woolen mill before entering service. Surviving are his four brothers. Walter and Edward of Elizabeth. Alvin of Hanover and Cletus, of Savanna. His father died Sept. 25, 1939, and his mother Jan. 3, 1943. (The Telegraph-Herald, Dubuque, IA, Friday, Feb. 4, 1949, p. 15, Col. 5)
