After the death of her mother, Regine and her two sisters Marie and Paula boarded the ship SS Seydlitz on the 28th of May 1929 from Bremen, Germany and landed in Houston, Texas on the 18th of June 1929. From there the girls took a train to meet their father who had immigrated to the US in 1924.
On the 13th of February 1935 in Oakland, California; she married Harry Pressler and from that union one son and two daughters were born.
Regine was an accomplished artist, and loved gardening and her family.
