Harold A. Noyce, 83, 724 Muro, died Wednesday at Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for the past two weeks.
He was born May 8, 1896 at Brunswick, Nebraska and had been a Manhattan resident for 27 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn Noyce in 1971.
He was a retired teacher and taught in public schools in Keats, Olsburg and Zeandale.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the Mayflower Society of Kansas, Huguenot Society of Kansas, and the National Retired Teachers Association.
He is survived by three sons, Kenneth Noyce, Wichita, Clyde Noyce, Iola, and Edwin Noyce, Bloomsburg, PA; a daughter, Mrs. Jeanne L. Pilger, Syracuse, New York; three brothers, Ralph Noyce, Berkeley, Calif.; Clarence Noyce, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Donald Noyce, Denver, Colo.; a sister, Mrs. W.W. Wertz, Berkeley, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30pm Tuesday at the Cowan-Edwards-Yorgensen Funeral Home with the Rev. Charles Bennett officiating; Burial will be in Sunset Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Gideon Bible and left at the Funeral Home.
