Her Ohio Death Certificate states that she died at the Athens Mental Hospital in Athens, Athens County, Ohio, and that she had been a patient there for 3 years, 9 months, 6 days.

Mrs. Alfaretta Rose, 94, widow of Lemuel Rose and life long resident of Coal Run, died Saturday evening at her home at Coal Run following decline.

Mrs Rose was born Jan. 28, 1858. She was a life long member of the Coal Run Methodist Church. Her parents were John and Juliette Hall Stewart. Her husband, Lemuel Rose to whom she was married in 1880, died Jan. 10, 1933.

Survivors are three sons, Leon Rose of Red Rock, Texas, Harley F. Rose of Newark, and Ivan Rose of Beverly. Mrs Jessie Henderson of Coal Run is her step-daughter. One son and three daughters are dead. There are 25 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the McCurdy Funeral Home in Beverly. The Rev. Samuel M. Firestone will officiate. Burial will be in Round Bottom Cemetery.
