Bellville- Grandmother Bowers, aged almost 86 years, died at her home on South Main Street at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 16th. Two months ago in getting out of bed Mrs. Bowers fell and sustained a fracture of the hip. She had almost recovered from this injury, but the recent warm weather brought on ailments incident to old age and she passed peacefully away as above stated. Funeral on Thursday, at 2 p.m. (Richland Shield & Banner: 20 August 1892)
