Military rites will be held at the Thornhill-Carey funeral home Tuesday at 1 p.m. for Sgt. Robert R. Kinsell, a member of the 161st infantry regiment, who was killed on Luzon, January 18, 1945. Sgt. Kinsell was born in Spokane January 30, 1922, and attended high school in Kellogg, Idaho, where he was prominent in football and basketball for three years. He was graduated in 1939. Later he worked for the White Pines Sash and Door company of Spokane. Sgt. Kinsell's brother, Emil, was the first casualty of the World War II form Shoshone County, Idaho. Survivors are his mother, Mrs. Nellie Hayes of Kellogg; a sister, Grace Bunch of Spokane; three brothers, William and Wayne of Kellogg and Dave of Stockton, Calif. Funeral services will be conducted by John R. Monaghan post 51, VFW. Officers and men of the 161st infantry national guard, will attend as pallbearers. Burial will be at Riverside park.
