Clyde A. Bruckman was both a writer and director of Laurel and Hardy, Abbott and Costello and Buster Keaton films. In January 1955 he was out of work and broke. He borrowed Buster Keaton's gun and after eating a dinner he could not afford, he shot himself. Conflicting stories are that he shot himself in the bathroom of the restaurant or in the phone booth outside. (bio by: Graving Queen of the OC)
