Canadian Author. She was the sister of authors, Susanna Moodie, Agnes Strickland, and Samuel Strickland. She wrote for 'Chamber's Journal' and 'Sharpe's London Magazine' before turning to writing books. Her works include "The Backwoods Of Canada" (1835), "Canadian Crusoes" (1852), Ramblings In The Canadian Forest" (1854), "Stories Of The Canadian Forests" (1856), "Afar In The Forest" (1869), and "The Studies Of Plant Life" (1884). (bio by: K)
