Clinton ~ Mrs. Nora Arleta Funkhouser, 70 years old, R. R. 2, West Terre Haute, died at her home at 12:15 o'clock Friday afternoon after a long period of failing health. She was a member of the New Goshen United Brethren church and had lived in that community 65 years, coming there from Virginia. Surviving are the husband, Elmer E.; one son, Leon, of Vermillion, Ill.; four daughters, Mrs. Edna Eastham of Vermilion, Mrs. Agnes Whitesell, of R. R. 2 West Terre Haute, Mrs. Marie Laney of New Goshen and Mrs. Leona Killion of Terre Haute; 29 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, and one brother, David E. Acord, of New Goshen. The body was brought to the Frist Funeral Home and was returned to the residence Saturday morning. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Rose Hill church, with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
