Anne Thrift Brent, 62, died on April 13, 2000. Mrs. Brent was the widow of Robert Logan Brent of Kilmarnock, Virginia.
She is survived by her daughter, Bonita Brent Fernandez; granddaughter, Stephanie Lynne Reeves, many beloved friends and extended family members, as well as her faithful companion, Arizona.
Mrs. Brent was born on May 18, 1937 in Richmond County, Virginia, to Robert Thrift and Mildred Luttrell Thrift. She was the owner of Kilmarnock-Lancaster Apartment, and the previous owner of Tidewater Glass and Mirror. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and friend, and some of her interests were preserving the safety of wildlife and American Indians.
A memorial service was held Monday, April 24, at Curry Funeral Home, Kilmarnock. A burial service followed in St. Mary's White Chapel of Lively. Family and friends will be received at the home of Stephanie Reeves, 49 Cedar Lane, Kilmarnock.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Southwest Indian Foundation, Project Office, P.O. Box 86, Gallup, New Mexico 87302-0001, in memory of Anne T. Brent of Kilmarnock, Va.
