Alexander Moler and his first wife Mary Jane Shulse had nine children, all of whom used the Moler spelling. With his second wife Mary (Mickey) Saverly Moler, Alexander had six children. Mary and her children adopted the Mohler spelling after Alexander's death in 1895.
