Edwin Kraus, 65, died unexpectedly of a heart attack, Thursday morning, Feb. 16, while at work at his farm in the town of Holton. Funeral services were conducted at the Zink Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock with the Rev. Richard Harrison, of the Presbyterian church, officiating.

During the services, Miss Alice Pollack sang "Ivory Palaces," and "Beyond the Sunset." Mrs. Myron Greaser was the accompanist.

Military rites were conducted under the auspices of the Abbotsford National Guard, at the Holton cemetery where internment was made. Lt. Robert Frautschy was assisted by Sgt. Milton Kronschnabel. The bugler was Clarence Nelson and the firing squad was composed of Sgts. Kenneth Ingersoll, Jim Steffen, Kay Anderson, Cpl. Jim Lamont, Pfc. Jack Smith, and Pvt. Jack Reichersamer.

Pallbearers were Clifford and Morris Anderson, Lawrence Hopfensperger, James Kugel, John Pinter and Arthur Rueden.

Among the many relatives from away, who attended the funeral, were Mr. and Mrs. William Hopfensperger and family, Menomonee Falls, Charles Kraus and family, Appleton; Mrs. Fern Seehaver and children, Colfax; and Alfred Seehaver, Rockford, Ill.

Edwin Kraus was born Jan. 19, 1891 at Collins, Wisconsin and as a young man came to this vicinity. He and Hattie Seiber were united in marriage at Waukegan, Ill., Aug. 26, 1931. For the past 35 years, Mr. Kraus has lived on a farm in the town of Holton. He was a veteran of World War I.

Surviving him are his widow and only daughter, Mrs. William (Myrna) Hopfensperger, and three grand daughters, of Menomonee Falls.

Also surviving are a brother, Charles Kraus, Appleton; sister, Mrs. Delia Kernick, San Mateo, Calif.; three half brothers, Alfred, Leroy and Oscar Seehaver, Rockford, Ill., and a half sister, Mrs. Ella Fairelough, Englewood, Ill.

One sister, one brother and two half sisters are deceased.
