George Hicks
Birth: Aug. 26, 1905
Death: Mar. 17, 1965

Radio Journalist. He was one of the few radio reporters to witness the June 6, 1944 "D-Day" Allied invasion of the beaches of Normandy, France, which he was able to broadcats back to the United States while he was on board the destroyer "USS Ancon". He has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Radio at 6314 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California.
