Mrs. Reuben (Florence) Hassler, 63, of 122 Oak St., Oglesby, died Friday afternoon at IVCH where she had been a patient since Feb. 29.
Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. in the Oglesby Union Church. The Rev. Lawrence Dick, pastor, and the Rev. Robert Zetterberg of the Bethal Evangelical Congregational Church
of Dixon, will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Sunday from 4 to 9 p.m. in the Prey Funeral Home, Oglesby, and from noon until the time of service Monday at the church.
Mrs. Hassler was born Aug. 20, 1920, in Ladd, to Benjamin and Dorothy Shaw Seaton. She graduated from the Methodist School of Nursing in 1942. She married Reuben Hassler on Feb. 21,1943, in Oglesby. He died in 1976.
Mrs. Hassler was a member of the Oglesby Union Church and the Amaranth Chapter OES. She has been employed at the Peru Medical Center.
She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Robert (Bette) Bloemker of Dixon; two brothers, Benjamin Seaton of Oglesby and Donald Seaton of La Salle; her step-father, Ray Stage, of Oglesby, two step-sisters, Mrs. Harley (Catherine) Graf of Brookfield, Wis. and Mrs. Jennette Maffey of Alton, Ill.; and three grandchildren.
Memorials may be directed to the Oglesby Union Church or the Bethal Christian High School of Dixon.
