Edith Hassler, 96, of 1203 Fourth St., Peru died at 12:15 p.m. June 1 In Care Inn Convalescent Center, where she had lived for seven weeks.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the Mueller Funeral Home, Peru. The Rev. Lloyd Kamps of the First Congregational Church of Peru, United Church of Christ, will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.
Mrs. Hassler was born Sept. 24, 1897, in Westfield Township in Bureau County to Fred and Mary (Werll) Fouth. She married William Hassler on June 28, 1922, in Peru. He died May 29,1944.
Mrs. Hassler had owned and operated Hassler Insurance Agency until her retirement.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Etalo (Arlene) Perucco of Peru and Mrs. Arthur W. (Shirley) Ferber of Athens, Ga.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and one brother, Arthur Fouth of Zearing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one brother and two sisters.
