Known as "Idaho's Pioneer Artist," his gilded equestrian statue of George Washington stands in a glass case in the Idaho state capital building in Boise. It was carved from pine over a four-year period. To obtain Washington's likeness, he used a United States postage stamp. He also crafted several unique monuments for Pioneer Cemetery in Boise.
