Kelly, Andrew Gregg Obituary
His Death From Natural Cause:
Find Andrew Kelly, Bachelor, Dead
A neighbor yesterday morning found the body of Andrew Gregg Kelly, 60, bachelor who had lived north of Seneca for many years, in the farmyard near his home. Coroner W. T. Popkess, Sabetha, ascribed the death to natural cause. It is probable that a heart attack was responsible.
Smith's funeral home, Seneca, will have the service at 2:00 tomorrow afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Alex. Eckert.
The body was discovered near 9:30 yesterday morning. The neighbor, who stopped occasionally at the home to see how Mr. Kelly was getting along, called for him but there was no response. The neighbor was drawing water from the well when he heard the bachelor's faithful dog bark. The sound came again, this time a howl. The neighbor's attention was thus attracted to a lane where Kelly's body was lying. The dog never left the body.
Some hogs in a pen southwest of the well had been fed and watered. A sow and pigs northeast of the well had not been cared for. A bucket of water was near the body. It was fairly clear then, that Mr. Kelly was taking care of his stock yesterday morning when the fatal attack came. He was wearing a heavy jacket, so may have been at work early in the morning.
