Yeager Matron Taken by Death
Mrs. Lida Elizabeth Chancellor, 52, a resident of Hughes county for over 50 years, died at her home in the Yeager community at 5:15 A.M. Saturday. Her health had been on the decline for the past year. Funeral services will be in the Yeager Assembly of God church at 2:30 P.M. Monday. Burial will be in the Yeager cemetery under the direction of Hudson Funeral Home. Bearers for the service will be C.D. Wood, Alex Talley, Manuel LaValley, Jim Crow, F.A. Ashburn and Tom Rinkle. Survivors include her husband, E.F. Chancellor, home address, Thomas, James and Albert all of Yeager; Edgar, Riverbank, Calif.,and Lloyd of Modesto, Calif; Two daughters, Mrs Burtie (should be Mertie) Martin, Riverbank, Calif, and Mrs. Opal Griggs (should be Gregg) Bakersfield, Calif., and one step-daughter, Mrs. Millie Choat, Wewoka.
