Jim Pogue, 70, of Santa Claus, formerly of South Bend, died Tuesday morning in Huntingburg, Ind. He retired from Uniroyal Inc. about 10 years ago. Born Oct. 1, 1914, in Marion, he lived in the South Bend area for many years.
His wife, Mary Crider, survives with two sisters, Mary Stevens of Dawson Springs, and Clara Morris of Berwyn, and three brothers, Thomas of Dallas, Forrest of Arlington, and Roswell of Ripley, Miss.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Tucker-Gilbert Funeral Chapel, Marion, and burial will follow in Mexico Cemetery, there.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
