ABBEVILLE - Malcolm McKinney, age 76, of 4086 Gordon Road, passed away Saturday, March 8 at the Heart of Georgia Nursing Home in Eastman. Funeral services will be held at 3P.M., Monday, at the Rochelle United Methodist Church with the Rev. Steven Giglio and Rev. Dennis Lanning. Interment will be in the Morningside Cemetery. Mr. McKinney, born on February 7, 1927, was a native of Wilcox County and son of the late Herbert C. McKinney and Rosa Guest McKinney. He was a retired Warehouse Supervisor at Warner Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of the Rochelle United Methodist Church, the Georgia Farm Bureau, the Good Sam Camping Club, and the Methodist Men's Club. He was a long time member of Kramer United Methodist Church and he was an Army Veteran. Survivors include wife, Shirley B. McKinney of Abbeville; one daughter, Agnes McKinney of Abbeville; three step-sons, Dillard (Carolyn) Gibbs of Rochelle, Sam Buchanan, Jr., of Cordele, and Bill Buchanan of Clarion, PA; three step-daughters, Rebecca Sims of Coppell, TX, Iris Schachte of Tucson, AZ, and Laverne (Franklin) McDuffie of Rochelle; two brothers, Edward (Betty) McKinney of Warner Robins and Raymond (Mary Jean) McKinney of Birmingham, AL; two sisters, Geraldine (F.A.) McKay of Warner Robins and Maxine McKinney (Dave Rash) of Crozet, VA; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; twelve step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; one step-great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M., Sunday, at Frazier and Son Funeral Home in Rochelle. -The family may be contacted at the McKinney residence at 4068 Gordon Road, Abbeville. -In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to the Rochelle United Methodist Building Fund, c/o Shelley Jo Sercer, 1304 Second Avenue, Rochelle, GA 31079.
