Samuel Edward Anderson, 76, of Horseshoe Bend died July 25, 2004, at Fulton County Hospital in Salem.
Born Sept. 20, 1927, in Maryville, Tenn., he was a veteran of the United States Army. He served his country during World War II. He was retired from the manufacturing industry.
He married Marion Louise Plauske March 15, 2000. He was a member of Horseshoe Bend Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include his wife, Marion, of the home; two sons; Edward Anderson of Joliet, Ill., and Ricky Anderson of San Raphael, Calif.; two daughters; Gail Anderson of Joliet, and Debbie Brown of Springfield, Ill.; a brother, Jack Anderson of Maryville; two sisters; Katherine Ward and Maggie Wilburn, both of Maryville; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral was July 29 at Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Leonard Smith officiating. Burial followed in Violet Hill Cemetery with arrangements under the direction of the Horseshoe Bend Memorial Chapel.
Memorials may be made to the Assembly of God Outreach Mission.
