Edgar R. Sackett, age 81, of Boynton Beach, FL, died on Thursday, July 10, 2003. Mr. Sackett was born on June 10, 1922 in New York City to Leslie and Lauretta (Day) Sackett.
He came to this area in 1988 from New York. Mr. Sackett was a highly decorated Army veteran of W.W.II. He was of catholic faith and was a member of St. Mark's Catholic Church in Boynton Beach, FL, and was active in the Leisureville Community Association.
He was predeceased by his wife, Katharine Sackett, in 1988.
Survivors include his beloved longtime companion, Shirley Jaskiewicz of Boynton Beach, FL; and a cousin, Marjorie Kusker, also of Boynton Beach, FL. Also surviving are a host of many friends and distant family.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 12, 2003 at the Bounton Memorial Chapel, 800 West Boynton Beach Boulevard, Boynton Beach, FL, with the Reverend Mark Szanyi, celebrant. A visitation will be held on Friday, July 11, 2003 (TODAY) from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the Funeral Home.
